CIRCULAR ECONOMY: RETHINKING THE WORLD FROM SCHOOL (RWS)

The project wants to teach students about environmental problems caused by the traditional Linear Economy. Students should become familiar with the concept of Circular Economy based on the use of renewable resources with the final aim of sharing their knowledge. The project will include theory and practical sessions in the form of traditional lessons, workshops and visits.
Students will acquire the relevant knowledge through lab activities concerning recycling materials, by playing a board game and by visiting local companies, Research Centres or Universities that are already working within a Circular Economy or towards implementing it.
To start with, students will carry out some surveys among the different age-groups in their own country to assess any previous knowledge on the issue and to inform their choice about the nature and the content of the final dissemination tools.

L’IIS “Ettore Majorana” è stato partner del progetto Erasmus Ka1 LOVE4SEN negli anni scolastici 2017/2018 e 2018/2019.
Il progetto è stato coordinato dall’IIS Aldini Valeriani e ha avuto come partner, oltre al Majorana, altre 8 scuole del territorio: il liceo artistico Arcangeli, l’IIS A.Serpieri, l’IIS G.Bruno, l’IIS Belluzzi Fioravanti, l’IPSAS Aldrovandi Rubbiani, l’IIS Montessori Da Vinci, l’IPSAR B.Scappi, l’IPSAR Veronelli.
Al progetto hanno partecipato oltre 100 studenti delle scuole aderenti selezionati in un ottica di inclusività. Gli alunni partecipanti hanno usufruito della possibilità di effettuare uno stage di 2 settimane in aziende estere. Si è trattato di un’opportunità unica per i ragazzi che hanno così potuto non solo fare un’esperienza lavorativa inerente al loro indirizzo scolastico, ma anche migliorare la conoscenza della lingua inglese e apprendere ad essere più indipendenti nella gestione del tempo.
Dall’IIS Ettore Majorana, 16 studenti, provenienti da 2 degli indirizzi tecnici dell’istituto, ossia Meccanica e Meccatronica, Elettronica ed Elettrotecnica sono partiti per la Grecia e per Malta divisi in 4 piccoli gruppi, per svolgere un tirocinio presso un’azienda straniera.
I compiti svolti dagli studenti, nonché la valutazione del loro operato, erano collegati ai criteri previsti dalle Units of Learning Object (ULO) previste dal ECVET (European credit system for vocational education and training). I vari materiali che documentano le esperienze sono stati condivisi dalle scuole partner sulla piattaforma di E-twinning.
L’ultima fase del progetto si è svolta in Polonia e ha riguardato un corso di aggiornamento per docenti per tecniche e strategie d’insegnamento ed utilizzo delle nuove tecnologie.
I docenti che hanno rappresentato il Majorana sono il prof. Lolli Andrea e la prof.ssa Caselli Emanuela.
